When reporting a problem, please include your device model, operating-system version, and a short description of what happened. Do not send private journal content unless you intentionally choose to share it.

Common Help

Permissions

Open the Settings app on your device, select Desandar, and confirm that the permission needed for the feature is enabled. Microphone, speech recognition, photos, calendar, reminders, health, location, and Face ID access are optional and requested only for related features.

iCloud Sync

Desandar stores journal data locally and can sync entries and attachments through your private iCloud database when iCloud is available. Confirm that you are signed in to iCloud and that iCloud Drive is enabled. The developer does not have server-side access to your journal or private iCloud database.

On-Device Intelligence

Some cleanup, organization, recap, search, and reflection features require a supported Apple device and operating-system version. Core journaling remains available when those intelligence features are unavailable.

Importing and Exporting

You can export your data as Markdown, JSON, or a full backup from Desandar’s Settings. Imports and exports happen only when you choose a file or destination.
